About Muay Thai
There is a useful button on Muay Thai’s title screen that is easy to overlook: Training. Give it a moment before starting a fight. The game puts your fighter on a patch of grass, labels the three attack and defence keys, then shows how a move is made. An uppercut, for example, combines a held Down direction with a punch. It is a much better introduction than pressing every key while an opponent does the same to you.
This is the older FreeOnlineGames version, with the illustrated fighter on the menu and the red special meter beneath the action. Z is your block, X is a punch and C is a kick. They are simple enough to remember; choosing when to use them takes more attention. A kick thrown from the wrong position will not become useful because you keep repeating it. Watch the fighter’s reach, leave yourself room to respond and try the moves separately before attempting combinations. The training screen has arrows for browsing its lessons, so you can return to a move you did not quite understand.
How to play Muay Thai
Use the fighting controls and the moves taught in Training to overcome the opponents in the main game.
- Open Training from the title screen to learn the controls without rushing into the main game.
- Read the move shown above the fighter. Use the green arrows to browse the training lessons.
- Practise Z for blocking, X for punching and C for kicking. For the displayed uppercut, hold Down and punch.
- Choose Main Menu when you are ready, then Start Game. Follow the game’s own prompts as the action begins.
- Pay attention to the opponent’s position before attacking. Try a deliberate attack or a block instead of pressing all three action keys together.
Controls
| Input | Action |
|---|---|
| Z | Block. |
| X | Punch. |
| C | Kick. |
| Hold Down + punch | Perform the uppercut shown in Training. |

Click or tap inside the game before using the keyboard. The fullscreen button below the player gives you more room; the restart button reloads the game.
Tips for a better round
- Learn one combination at a time. If an uppercut does not happen, check that Down is already held when you press the punch key.
- Use Training to compare a punch with a kick. Knowing how the animation looks makes it easier to judge an attack during a fight.
- Give defence its own key in your memory. Z is not another attack, and treating it as one wastes a useful response.
