The End of the Sun Gets Its Turn on Xbox

November 4 is the Xbox release date for The End of the Sun, a village mystery where you can use a bonfire to visit the past.

It’s been out on PC since January 2025. The PS5 version followed in April, and now the store listing is up for Xbox Series X and S. The End of the Sun Forge has posted a separate Xbox gallery in its press kit. That’s where we got the screenshot above.

What a fire can show you

There’s a village, an ashter who can travel through time, and something supernatural to track down. The ashter has a map, but a lot of the work happens at bonfires. Form a bond with a fire and it can show you signs of what took place nearby. Kindle it fully and you can pass through to another time.

I like the idea of going back to a place I’ve already seen. Say someone in the story mentions a house and I remember passing it earlier. I’d want to take another look. Did I miss something on the way there? Was it the right place at the wrong time? The setup gives those questions somewhere to go. I’d save the walkthrough for later.

The studio takes its setting from Slavic folklore and rituals. If you’re on the fence about the Xbox release, look at the press gallery first. It’ll tell you more about the village than a list of features will, and you can still find your own way through the mystery.
