About BananaBread
There is a short quiet spell when the stone courtyard first loads. Use it. Look for the passages beside the pillars, get a feel for the mouse and try a few shots before the bot joins the match. Once it does, standing in the open is a quick way to lose your armour. BananaBread is an arena shooter: the point is to fight, respawn and get back into the next exchange, rather than creep through a story mission.
This version starts on Colos in Efficiency mode. You already have weapons and armour, so there is no need to spend the opening minute hunting for a gun. The courtyard gives you long lines of sight, while the side passages let you break them. A corner can buy enough time to change weapons or stop an opponent tracking your movement. Get caught facing a wall, though, and the bot is unlikely to wait for you to turn around.
How to play BananaBread
Score frags by defeating the bot. Stay alive when you can; after a death, return to the arena and try a different approach.
- Press Play now, wait for the arena to load, then click the mouse-capture button inside the game. Move the mouse to look around before walking out into the courtyard.
- Use WASD to move and left click to fire. Try moving sideways while keeping your aim on the bot, rather than stopping each time you shoot.
- Use the mouse wheel to try another weapon. If you die, click to respawn. The PlayFG restart button reloads the whole game if you want a fresh start.
Controls
| Input | Action |
|---|---|
| Move | WASD moves your character. |
| Look and shoot | Move the mouse to aim; left click fires. Capture the mouse inside the game first. |
| Jump and switch weapons | Space jumps. The mouse wheel cycles weapons. |
| Menus and mouse release | 0 opens the game menu. Esc releases the captured mouse; click the capture button to return. |
Click or tap inside the game before using the keyboard. The fullscreen button below the player gives you more room; the restart button reloads the game.
Tips for a better round
- Try the side passages before the bot arrives. Knowing where a passage leads is more useful than discovering it while under fire.
- Keep some sideways movement during a fight. Running straight at an opponent gives it an easier target.
- Watch the health, armour and ammunition counters along the bottom. A weapon that feels right at one distance may be awkward at another.
Questions about BananaBread
Am I fighting another visitor?
This build uses a computer-controlled bot. It does not require another PlayFG visitor to join.
Why does the mouse need another click?
The browser requires a click inside the player before it can capture your mouse. While captured, the pointer disappears and mouse movement turns your view. Esc releases it.
Can I play with touch controls?
This version is intended for a desktop or laptop with a keyboard and mouse. It does not provide a mobile touch-control layout.
